A two week gap in the weekly blog explained partly by Easter but also partly by the unruly other parts of my working life getting in the way of research. The main activity has been Aris’ work and the breeding season phenology paper is now 90% done, we have decided to do some extra analyses to extend it but it is soon to be completed. The genexenvironment interaction paper will then follow. For the last week Aris has been entertaining a visiting Cretan student and they have anaysed a dataset on endangered Lammergeyers, which is also set to be written up. Greg’s PhD work is beginning to take shape, Mike Bithell has kindly provided the code for a hydrological model that can be linked with SORTIE and so all (!) Greg now needs to do is exactly that. Greg is off to UFZ on an IBM course next month. As for myself, it is my turn to work on the TREE article that is emerging from the ESF workshop, Michael Weisberg and I shall be doing this together over the next week. I have also been invited to talk at the INTECOL meeting in August 2013. So thats it really.
