There’s a lot of other things going on which have meant there was not much research time available this week. But Aris is making good progress with bird breeding evolution model, the model is up and running and ready to start generating results. I managed to have a quick look at the ECN data and we can use to parameterise at least part of SORTIE - other data will be needed for the rest though - as Tim said trouble with complex models is that they are complex! Saw Greg this week to talk about PhD progress, he needs to get into next phase - i.e. move from reading about what to do, to doing it. Also processed the three applications I have received from Chinese students, if all three come that would be amazing and really move the swallow research along. I just hope Becca in Colorado would be able to cope! Thats all really doesn’t sound like much.
